"Man Overboard" is a story about a young girl named Vasantha Murthy
who is on a sea journey from her grandparents' place to Singapore.
•
During the journey, there is a warning about a heavy storm, but Vasantha is not
affected and instead goes to the ship's deck to enjoy the wind. While there,
she witnesses a man falling into the sea and immediately cries for help.
• The
captain of the ship takes the lead in rescuing the man, and with the help of
his experienced crew, they are able to save the man's life. The captain then
surprises Vasantha with a gift to appreciate her bravery, which makes her the
happiest person on the ship.
• The
story highlights the importance of quick thinking, teamwork, leadership, and
appreciation in emergency situations.
