· Dr. Watson visits his friend Sherlock Holmes.

Mr.Jabez Wilson. Holmes told the story of Mr
Jabez Wilson.
· Holmes says that he runs a Pawnshop. His
assistant Vincent
Spaulding showed an
advertisement announced an opening in
the red headed League.
The announcement promised a salary of
4 pounds a week.
· Spaulding urged Wilson to apply the job.
Wilson was accepted
the league by Mr.
Duncan rose, the head of the league. Wilson
learned his duty each
day copying out the Encyclopedia
Britannica in long
hand note book.
· One day Wilson arrived at office to find it
closed with a notice on
the door that the red
headed League had been dissolved.
Holmes promises to
look into the case and Wilson leaves.
Spaulding opens the
shop door the legs of his trousers are dirty.
· Spaulding asked Holmes what can I do? Holmes
yes you can say
the way to the strand.
Holmes said my dear Watson I must go at
the road behind Saxe-
Coburg Square.
· Spaulding told you think of everything. Mr.
Holmes you are very

make their tunnel.
· Holmes suspected when Spaulding was happy to

wages. Spaulding often
went down to the lower ground floor or
basement. Sherlock
Holmes went to the Next Street at the back
of the shop and he saw
the bank. Watson wondered that the
bank yes of course.
· Sherlock Holmes asked the question why the young
man was
making a tunnel. I
thought, to get into the bank’s strong room,
of course Sherlock
Holmes told because they close the offices of
the Red-Headed League.
The tunnel must be ready, he thought.
It would have given
the thieves enough to time get away.
· His friend Watson laughed and he said that
they did not get
away, Holmes you are
very clever. Holmes replied that very true,
Watson.
Reinforcement:
At the start of the
class, the teacher bring a box into class. The
teacher places any
object in the box, but students can’t see what’s
inside. Next, students
investigate the contents by asking yes or no
questions. When they
get it correct, it can be a prize.
