TWO MARK Question :

1.       A cylindrical drum has a height of 20cm and base radius of 14cm. Find its curved surface area  and the total surface area.

 

2.    Find the volume of a cylinder whose height is 2m and whose base area is 250m2..

 

3.     Find the standard deviation of first 21 natural numbers.

 

4.      An aluminium sphere of radius 12cm is melted to make a cylinder of radius 8cm. find the height of the cylinder.

 

5.     Find the range and coefficient of range of the following data: 25,67,48,53,18,39,44.

 

6.    Find the standard deviation of first 21 natural numbers.

 

7.    If P(A)=0.37, P(B)=0.42, P(A∩B)=0.09, then find P(AUB).

 

FIVE Mark Question :

1.    A girl wishes to prepare birthday caps in the form of right circular cones for her birthday party, using a sheet of paper whose area is 5720 cm2, how many caps can be made with radius 5cm and  height 12cm.

2.   A toy is in the shape of a cylinder surmounted by a hemisphere. The height of the toy is 25cm.

3.     A solid sphere of radius 6cm is melted into a hollow cylinder of uniform thickness. If the external  

4.      radius of the base of the cylinder is 5cm and its height is 32cm, then find the thickness of the  cylinder.

5.    A bag contains 6 green balls, some black and red balls. Number of black balls is as twice as  the number of red balls. Probability of getting a green ball is thrice the probability of getting a  red ball. Find (i) number of black balls (ii) total number of balls

 

6.    Two dice are rolled once. Find the probability of getting an even number on the first die or total of  face sum 8.

 

 

 

 

 EIGHT Mark Question :

1.        . Draw the graph of xy = 24, x,y > 0. Using the graph   find,(i) when =3 and

 (ii) when = 6.

 

 

2.      A bus is travelling at a uniform speed of 50 km/hr. Draw the distance-time  graph and hence find  (i) the constant of variation  

(ii) how far will it travel in   hr

       (iii) the time required to cover a distance of 300 km from the graph.

3.    Discuss the nature of solutions of the following quadratic equations .  x2+– 12=0

       4.   Draw the graph of x2+3x+2 and use it to solve x2+2x+1=0
